Pawlicies
At Tie The Leash, we prioritize the safety and well-being of your furry companions. Please review the following policies to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for both pets and their owners:
Vaccinations:

Pets are required to be up to date on vaccinations, including rabies, FVRCP (cats), bordetella, and DA2PP (dogs). Bordatella vaccine is required every 6 months for high-risk dogs (e.g., those attending other doggy day cares, boarding facilities, dog parks, or grooming salons), and yearly for others.

We require that proof of vaccinations be supplied at least 10 days before pet care services.
Health Requirements

All dogs must be flea/tick-free.

Pets with a contagious cough are not allowed to receive service(s) from Tie The Leash and must be symptom-free for two weeks after a contagious illness to receive service(s).
Behavioral Guidelines

No aggressive and/or reactive pets.

Pets must be spayed or neutered by 1 year of age. No females in heat or that may be in heat while being attended.
Meals and Treats

Owners are responsible for providing meals and favorite treats.

Medications

Listed prices include administering oral and topical medications only.
Injuries and Playtime

Owners understand that during normal pet play, injuries may occur despite the best supervision.

Dog play is monitored to best avoid injury.

In the event a dog becomes ill and needs a vet visit, it will be at the owner's approval and expense. Owners must provide vet information.
Reservation and Cancellation Policy
For wedding day pet care packages:

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total package cost is required to secure your reservation. This deposit serves as a credit towards the full balance of your chosen package. The remaining balance is due seven days before the scheduled service via cash, Zelle, or Venmo.
Cancellation within 72 hours of the scheduled service is acceptable. The initial deposit remains non-refundable.

If cancellation is made less than 72 hours before the scheduled service, clients will still be responsible for paying the remaining balance of the total package cost. The initial deposit remains non-refundable.
For non-wedding day pet care services:

A deposit of 50% is required to secure a reservation. This deposit serves as a credit towards the total balance. The remaining balance is due at pickup via cash, Zelle, or Venmo.

In the event of a cancellation, the deposit is fully refundable if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled service start date. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start are non-refundable.

Holidays have a 72-hour cancellation policy. Holidays are New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Any daycare or boarding reservations booked within 2 days of the start date will incur a $20 rush fee.
Please note that there may be limits on the number of large dogs, and reservations are based on availability and other factors. Puppies over 4 months, fully vaccinated, and potty trained are welcome at Tie The Leash. We appreciate your understanding of these policies, as they allow us to provide the best possible care for you and your pets. ​
